Skyrim features a bug that makes you a horse: There are some bugs in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. The fact that it has been one of the top-selling video games of the last decade and that the developer keeps re-releasing it. Much to the annoyance of fans who want a new game in the series, doesn’t make it any less glitchy.
As a whole, some are more of a real problem, but many are harmless and fun.
Sherlock DaVinci, a user on the Skyrim Subreddit, has shown that the Dragonborn can become a different animal altogether. The 15-second video shows that the player has turned into a horse by some coding mistake.
In this picture, you can’t see how this happened or if the problem was solved. But what you can see is the creature galloping around the snowy landscape as if nothing is out of place. Their character “floated away,” but the camera was still on the horse, and they were still in charge of the animal.
With The Elder scrolls, wild animals are often the subject of many in-game pranks. Another player was in Skyrim and saw a horse flying around dragons. In itself, that’s a big problem. At least Sherlock DaVinci’s horse looks like it’s just running around.
Because it’s still a glitch, it’s not clear if the player would able to play the game the way it suppose to.
People have been reporting bugs in the game for more than ten years now, and these are just a few of them.
People often say that it’s not a bug but more of a “feature.” When you play Skyrim Anniversary Edition, there are a lot of game-breaking bugs. This is surprising because the original game has been out for a long time. This is supposed to a better version.
As long as it doesn’t have too many problems, it’s still one of the best-selling games Bethesda has ever made. This doesn’t seem to hurt its reputation too much. As a meme, it’s the string of bugs that people find funny. For this reason alone, maybe the studio doesn’t have a real reason to fix the less severe bugs.
You can play The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
