Final Fantasy XI 20th anniversary stream It is hard to believe that Final Fantasy XI still has a lot of fans as it nears its 20th birthday on May 8. The title was Square Enix’s first MMO and their most profitable one before Final Fantasy XIV.

We are Vana’diel even launch last year in honour of this date. Fans will shock by what Square Enix has to say about this important milestone, but they haven’t said much since 2019.

Because the game is part of their most popular series. The company isn’t likely to let it fade away into the background.

There will be a five-hour Livestream on May 8, and fans are waiting with bated breath. They hope to find out what Square Enix has kept from them finally!

Final Fantasy XI 20th anniversary stream

There has been little to no information or leaks, so we can only guess what could happen. Here are a few of the most talked-about possible announcements:

  • Final Fantasy XI Remastered: The game was meant to have a mobile version, but it scrapped. Before the show cancel, there were a lot of high-definition screenshots of Vana’diel with a modern twist. They wonder if Square Enix put these efforts into this game because it was cancelled. No doubt modernizing the game would make it more user-friendly and bring back old and new fans to play it again and again.
  • People who play MMOs remember Final Fantasy XI so well that the new version doesn’t make them want to play. At that time, the game was very different. As classic MMOs become more popular, it’s not too far-fetched to think Square Enix would want to try their hand at one.
  • Final Fantasy XI will add to the Final Fantasy XIV Subscription – this is how it will work. This is a cinch. World of Warcraft has a subscription for the modern game that also includes Classic. Final Fantasy XIV players would be able to try out a game they might not have tried because of the extra costs. Getting rid of the PlayOnline interface, a significant barrier for people who want to play the old MMO would also be good.
  • Developers have been adding new story content called The Voracious Resurgence over the last year. They have also added new ways to progress your character and changes to the game’s quality of life for the previous year. Not like a game they want to let die. Even though an expansion on its own isn’t likely to make a lot of money, this one might work well with a re-release.

These are the hopes of many people in the Final Fantasy XI world. A few years ago, the game’s console servers shut down. However, the PC servers are still going strong, and you can still play the game!

The hype for Vana’diel is there because Square Enix has teased it over the years. Many people have a lot of nostalgia for Vana’diel. Everyone is excited about the Livestream, but they don’t know what to expect.
