Producer Naoki Yoshida admits Final Fantasy XVI is nearing completion:  According to executive producer Naoki Yoshida after announce back in 2020. The development of Final Fantasy XVI is almost over. Yoshida also serves as director of the critically-acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.

In an interview with Uniqlo magazine advertising Final Fantasy’s 35th-anniversary cooperation, Yoshida stated that FFXVI, the next upcoming title in the legendary Japanese Role Playing Game series, has virtually wrapped up production.
