Dragon Ball: The Breakers Trailer: Closed Beta for PC available December 3-4.
There have been many Dragon Ball-themed games over the years, most of them fighting games, but also a mix of role-playing and card games.
Next year, however, he will get one of the most unique entries on the gaming side of the franchise with The Breaker.
Instead of focusing on the main cast, pit ordinary citizens against the series’ villains in an asymmetric multiplayer brawl. It looks like a head-scratcher, but today we got an overview of how everything works out.
The game sees a group of ordinary citizens, nicknamed Survivors, who are taken to a mysterious dimension where they face a single Raider, who is represented by one of the enemies of the franchise, with Cell as an example here.
The Raider will hunt down Survivors and be able to win the game when he has eliminated them all on the map, or when they destroy the super time machine, a vehicle that allows Survivors to escape.
Each Raider will have multiple stages of evolution until he reaches his final form.
The survivors have a more difficult path to victory. They must activate the super time machine, but doing so requires you to collect startup keys that are smashed all over the map.
The more keys you collect, the faster the machine startup process. However, things get tough, as when a Raider evolves, it can destroy one of the areas. If the key for that area has not been found, it will disappear forever.
Survivors are not totally powerless. Although they are outmatched, there are several ways they can defend themselves.
It includes elements of attack and defense, the ability to blend into the stage with camouflage. Also, find orbs that allow them to temporarily channel the power of one of the main characters, such as Goku or Vegeta, allowing them to stop the Raider.
They can also heal fallen Survivors that the Raiders have taken down and use various functions to communicate.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is scheduled to release in 2022 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. A closed beta for PC will be released on December 3-4, and you can see the times in the video below.
