Russia no longer sells Ubisoft games:  The whole world is watching as two modern-day countries, Russia and Ukraine, fight in an armed military conflict. Video game developers and publishers, like Ubisoft, think the Russian invasion of Ukraine is cruel.

Gaming companies have decided to stop selling their games in Russia, even though they will lose money. In the past, Microsoft and E.A. stopped selling games in Russia to show their displeasure with what was going on in the world. It is one of many who have tried to get away from Moscow.

Ubisoft appears to be the last big video game company to cut ties with Russia. All sales of Ubisoft games in Russia will halt because of the “ongoing tragedy in Ukraine,” the company said on its website. This isn’t a surprise because significant companies, like Apple, have been stopping sales in Russia for a while now.

The blog post said the news didn’t give any specifics. It looks like both digital and physical sales will stop.
This statement from the maker of Assassin’s Creed is a follow-up to one made on March 1. Ubisoft wrote a long blog post about how much it cared about the Ukrainian people and its employees.

The post also said that Ubisoft had given money to the Ukrainian Red Cross, Save the Children, and a fund set up by the Bank of Ukraine. The previous post also talked about Ubisoft’s dedicated hotlines for Ukrainian citizens. Who can get help and support from people who know them.

With no change in the political situation, Ubisoft decided to break off all business ties with Russia by stopping sales.

Video game companies have come up with other ways to show their anger at the Russian invasion of Ukraine. E.A. has gone the extra mile and taken Russia out of FIFA and N.H.L. games, which is a good thing. FIFA, UEFA, and the IIHF have also banned Russia from all future competitions. The N.H.L. has cut all ties with the country.

As the war between the two European countries goes on, more and more high-profile businesses will try to avoid Russia. Ubisoft has become the latest to join the ranks of Apple, E.A., CD Project Red, Tik Tok, and Nvidia, who have stopped sales in Russia. In these difficult times, these companies are just a few of the many worldwide who are supporting Ukraine.
