Put PS5 in Rest Mode: Gaming consoles only had two states: off and on in the past.

There weren’t such things as suspending points or sleep modes, and if your mom called to invite you for dinner, that console was required to be turned off completely to be able to play.

If you hadn’t been saving recently, it was dangerous for you. The good news is that modern consoles have states that are in-between off and on to allow you to stop items without getting dad angry over the cost of power.

This is how you can put your PS5 in rest mode.

The Rest Mode is a leftover from the PS4, a different term for sleep mode that most electronic devices have today.

If your PS5 remains in Rest Mode, it’ll keep it in a power-saving state. You can utilize this feature to shut down the console without losing any games that are running or fun, and it will be connected to the internet if it requires downloading essential updates. T

The connection will also permit users to utilize Remote Play to access the console from any other device.

Most importantly, the PS5 operating in Rest Mode will leave its USB ports running, which means you can connect for charging your consoles.

How to Put PS5?

To put PS5 in Rest Mode

  1. Hit your PlayStation buttons on your controllers to display the tile menu.
  2. Continue scrolling to the right side to locate the Power option.
  3. Click the Power button to display the Power menu. Choose Rest Mode to put the PS5 into sleep mode.

It’s straightforward to switch the PS5 in Rest Mode, debatably more than to switch it completely off.

While engaging in an activity, click the PlayStation logo button on the controller to launch the menu for tiles.

This is the menu in which you’ll find information on notifications and Trophies, and other things.

If you scroll to the right of the menu, you’ll see an option to turn off the power options.

When you go to the Power options, you’ll notice the buttons to turn off Rest Mode and shutdown.

So you can click the button for Rest Mode to turn off the console in sleep mode.

When you’re ready to bring it back to life, hit the PlayStation button on the controller once more.

Be aware that even when the game is on Rest Mode, it is in operation, so don’t remove the power cable if you lose your precious information.
