In Chapter 2, Season 5, the game adds the Master Chief skin from the Halo series. Here’s how to obtain the skin’s special Matte Black variant.
How to unlock the Matte Black Master Chief in Fortnite
Initially, the unique skin could only obtain by owning the standard Master Chief skin and an Xbox Series X or S system.
Anyone with the original Master Chief skin may now get the Matte Black version for free via the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.
You can now play Fortnite on iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Windows devices without a subscription or installation through Xbox Cloud Gaming. To unlock Matte Black Master Chief, follow the steps below:
- If you have one or more of these devices, visit Xbox Cloud Gaming. Xbox Cloud Gaming website.
- On the main page, there’s a Fortnite tab. Select Play for Free and login into the account you have created with your Microsoft account.
- Click Play, and let the game begin to load. If you notice any prompts on your screen, click Continue to continue.
- When the game has been launched, you’ll receive a message informing you that you’ve removed your Matte Black Master Chief skin.
The Master Chief skin’s basic version may obtain through the Fortnite shop. The skin may purchase alone for 1,500 V-Bucks or as part of the whole collection for 2,600 V-Bucks.
The Master Chief skin, UNSC Pelican glider, Gravity Hammer pickaxe, and Lil’ Warthog emote include in the Master Chief Bundle.
