Discord’s Timeout feature on PC & Mobile: Discord promises to include a brand new “timeout” option in the server settings, making your server stronger than ever.

There was previously a way to allow users to be timed out. However, it involved creating an entirely new role and then changing the position of users according to the time frame you want to use.

All this is easily accomplished with only a couple of clicks, and users will be granted their rights back after they expire.

Today, let’s examine how to utilize this feature of the Discord Timeout Feature to time out users on PC & Mobile.

Discord‘s Timeout feature on PC & Mobile:

What’s the latest Discord Timeout Feature?

Once you have enabled”Timeout Members” permission, once you encourage the “Timeout members” license, you can use the brand new Discord Timeout feature once you enable ” Timeout members ” permission.

This means that you can put every user on your server in the timeout phase.

This will stop them from replying or sending any messages, or joining video or voice channels on the server.

Be aware that shut-off users can view and read messages on the channels.

As they remain part of the server and if a message has reactions, the timed-out customers will have the ability to react to the notes.

They are not allowed to add any other reaction in response to messages.

Also, the Discord Timeout Feature only applies this option to all channels on the server, and you can’t restrict a user’s access to a medium or even a few tracks.

The timeout feature applies to all channels of the server.

How do you timeout users in Discord Mobile, PC & Mobile

The Timeout feature on Discord can only be activated by Moderators and Admins who have “Timeout Members” authorization. With that in mind, this is how to timeout users on Discord with this new option:

  1. On PC, Right-click on the name of the user.
  2. On Discord mobile, hold your avatar’s avatar.
  3. This will allow them to access your “Profile Context Menu.”

    2. This reason will be recorded and visible within the “Audit Log” inside “Server Settings.”
    3. The timed-out user will display a new icon with a timed-out date.
    4. If other users do not have permissions, the user appears normal
    5. The removal of Timeout from users is also simple
    6. On PC, click the right-click icon next to the name of the user
    7. On Discord mobile, hold onto the avatar of the user
    8. This will let them open the “Profile Context Menu.”

    10. Then click “Confirm.”

How can I fix the Timeout Issues in Discord?

This is a reasonably new feature within Discord, and many users may have issues in distributing the Timeout.

One of the primary reasons could be that the person you’re attempting to issue the Timeout may be already an administrator or moderator who has all permissions set for them.

You can eliminate the admin or moderator role and give the timeouts to these roles. This will resolve your Discord Timeout Feature not working issue on your server.

If the issue can not resolved and you’re having problems with a particular user, there are ways to work around it.

These should only be utilized in cases where you cannot remove or ban your user.

Or if you run a public server on which users can rejoin. The only thing you have to create is a new role with the permissions disabled.

Go into Advanced permissions and deactivate the ability to send messages and enable communication. Now you can assign this role to the person you wish to grant expiration date.

All you have to be aware of about learning how you can use this feature of the Discord Timeout Feature to time out users on PC & Mobile.
