Diamond tier for Yu-Gi-Oh! Online Master Duel play:  Konami ended Season 4 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel this weekend and promptly began Season 5. A new ban list for Master Duel is set to effect on May 9th for Season 5. This weekend, Konami added a new tier to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. Diamond 1 is now the final goal in online play, not Platinum 1.

Konami has added a Diamond tier to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel‘s online ecosystem. Previously, the highest level was Platinum. Diamond has replaced Platinum as the game’s sixth tier. Diamond will work similarly to the other categories except for Rookie. Diamonds range from 1 to 5 in rank. Diamond 1 duelists cannot rank down for the season.

Diamond tier for Yu-Gi-Oh! Online Master Duel play

This update comes days after reports indicated that online matchmaking had been adjusted to match duelists of the same tier and level.

They are adding a Diamond tier to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel offers fresh twists. Players can now earn an extra 600 Gems by racing from Gold to Diamond 1 this season. This modification should also help spread out the player base in Master Duel and improve the game’s balance.

Diamond users will also get a new border for their profile icons in Master Duel. Claim this border in the Missions tab.
