Bloodstains Guide For Elden Ring Touch:  What are the bloodstains on the ground, and how do they help you? This guide explains everything you need to know about the Touch Bloodstains feature in Elden Ring and why they may not be working for you.

How do Touching Bloodstains work in Elden Ring?

When you touch a Bloodstain in Elden Ring, you can see the ghost of another player if that player has died. You can use the Bloodstains just like the messages that other players leave on the ground. By pressing the button prompt for Bloodstain (Eon PC), you will see a red silhouette of a player fighting, and then they will die.

If you’re heading to a location for the first time and want to know if there are any dangers nearby, this can be helpful. You need to be prepared if you see a bloodstain (or multiple ones).

Sometimes, you may even see your death. The number of bloodstains on the ground will give you an idea of an upcoming fight. Even though the enemy will not be visible. If you want to avoid the enemy, you can do so at this moment.

Do Bloodstains not work on PC?

Some players can see the bloodstains on the ground but cannot interact with them. It isn’t a game-breaking error because you can still understand that players have died here from bloodstains.

If you cannot see a Ghost, it may be related to server overload (which also creates new errors). Try restarting the game to see if you can interact with them.

It might not be a high-priority bug fix for the devs at this point. But once the teething issues have addressed in a patch, this one should fix soon enough.
