Bandai Namco and Ace Combat developer launch the new studio:  Bandai Namco publishes some of the world’s top brands, including video game anime and manga adaptations, Dark Souls, and Ace Combat.

ILCA developed Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and has supported Dragon Quest and Ace Combat. Now, they’ve formed a studio.

Bandai Namco controls the new joint venture Bandai Namco Aces. Its name and the initial project should be evident. The studio’s website has job ads for the forthcoming Ace Combat game.

Takuya Iwasaki is the CEO of Bandai Namco Aces. Longtime Ace Combat producer Kazutoki Kono will be EVP.

Kono says on the studio’s website that creative fans inspire creative artists. “We want to develop next-generation entertainment where people relate and share joy.”

The next Ace Combat game might be made for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. It may be fantastic for PSVR 2. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown recently included a Top Gun: Maverick crossover.

ILCA’s work on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is done, but it supports Pokémon Home. This app just included Pokemon Legends: Arceus transfer.
