Status of E3 2022 Uncertain: Each year, gamers are eagerly awaiting E3. Every year, the trade show is where publishers and developers showcase their forthcoming games to the general public.
The future of E3 has been debated over the years, as many companies have decided to host private press conferences rather than attending E3.
The last time E3 was held, held it online because of the COVID-19 virus, and this year, E3’s future is in doubt after it announced it would not have it in the flesh.

E3 2022 May or May Not Happen
At first, E3 was planned to be an event in person this year. But the plans are now canceled according to the ESA.
An article by IGN reports how the ESA has canceled the event yet time due to the spread of the virus.
“Due to the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees. E3 will not be held in person in 2022,” explained an ESA representative.
Status of E3 2022 Uncertain
The statement did not announce that E3 2022 will be a virtual event. Furthermore, the ESA did not say whether one would occur when requested by IGN.
E3’s future has been brought in the last several years as increasing numbers of companies have begun to organize their events at the same date to E3 instead of attending E3.
Nintendo hasn’t had an E3 press event since 2012, and Sony hasn’t been to E3 since 2018. The pandemic only made it more difficult shortly for E3.
