Remote Connect error in Minecraft: The crossplay functionality that Minecraft: Bedrock Edition shares with other editions on all modern platforms is one of its most significant selling points.
To access your friend’s Minecraft world on another platform, you will need to connect your Xbox accounts through the Minecraft RemoteConnect site.
Here’s how to access your account from other platforms if you have problems.
When you sign in to Minecraft on a new device, and the bottom of the page reads Sign in to Microsoft Account (bottom left corner), you need to press this to receive a code you can enter at the RemoteConnect website.
If you’ve already signed in to that platform before, the game will automatically recognize it and log you in.
The process may take a while if you’re on Nintendo Switch. Crossplay is only available for the Bedrock Edition.
You will need to download the Bedrock Edition for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation 4 Editions. This is because you already have Minecraft.
You may be asked to sign in to the account using the browser to enter the code.
You can access another account if you don’t have one already signed in. Make sure you change your browser settings to enable that account.
If the game does not connect to your account after entering the code multiple times, it is possible to restart your internet.
Your internet connection can cause problems between your game console and its servers. After 30 seconds, unplug the router and plug it back in.
