Leaks tease Fortnite Starter Skatepark Royalty: Fortnite slate to release a brand-new starting pack named “Skatepark Royalty” tonight, June 20th, at 8 p.m. eastern time, according to the latest reports.
The following is the tweet that first broke the news. As well as a reminder that the new pack will replace the current Mecha-Pop STW pack:
When the Toni skin was revealed around a month ago, it drew a lot of attention due to the character’s inclusive origins as a nonbinary addition.
Games have a unique chance to promote inclusion with all generations of gamers, and it’s nice to see Fortnite step up to the plate. It always makes a significant difference for supporters to see themselves on film, whatever form it takes.
Regrettably, some fans had hoped for a package more aligned with the broader Save the World concept. After all, Toni’s dress and gear don’t fully match the current STW campaign.
V-Bucks, Back Bling, and Pickaxe
The Skatepark Royalty package will also feature the “Ollie-Oop” and “Inline Impactor,” in addition to the much-anticipated Toni skin.
These readily match the skatepark concept, while the roller blades pickaxe has amused fans as an unintentional homage to Stranger Things, which did have a roller blade assault.
Finally, the leaked picture reveals that, like the Mecha-Pop pack, players will be able to win up to 1500 V-Bucks. Since the beginning pack should provide players access to the campaign, this is won by completing daily STW missions.
This is usually regarded as one of the most appealing aspects of these starting packs. However, some fans speculate they will buy the box only for the V-Bucks.
So, even if the skin isn’t for you, it may be a good bargain at the right price.
