Incredible Stop Motion Film by a Halo Fan: The Halo series featured many intense battles involving the Master Chief over the years. Spartan 117 has been confronted with numerous alien threats throughout the series. The Covenant, the Banished and the frightening Flood outbreak are just a few of the many enemies that have threatened humanity’s safety.
One fan recently created a unique skirt between the Master Chief (and the Banished).
Reddit user sock-bread posted a short film that they had made recently based on the series. This video was not your ordinary video. The creator used stop-motion to create it.
This movie lasted approximately 4 minutes and featured a miniature of the Master Chief fighting Elites, Grunts and Brutes. The choreography was excellent, with Chief performing some incredible maneuvers to defeat Banished forces. He didn’t know that this was only the beginning of the battle.
The Spartan faced a more difficult task after defeating his enemies with relative ease. He was now facing what stock bread called a “Banished Prototype,” which resembled a Hunter but with better weapons and armour.
Master Chief used the mech armour from Halo Legends to defeat the alien. He defeated the prototype enemy after a long fight.

Reddit shared the short film, and sock_bread also shared details about how it made the video.
Although most Halo short films were made with practical effects in mind, some parts included computer enhancements such as sparks, animating without rigs, and adding alien blood. The creator said that they had learned how to animated by themselves. They did, however, mention that they learned a lot from a storyboarding class.
The creator estimated that the animation of the characters and objects took 120 hours.
This short film featuring Master Chief has captivated many of Reddit’s Halo community members. The stop-motion look was overwhelmingly loved by fans, who received 48K votes in less than one day.
Some also commented on how the action translated well and felt heavy.
It isn’t easy to top this short film. However, other fans have made some fantastic artwork based on Halo. Another gamer recently completed a diorama that featured the Master Chief as he supported Marines during combat against the Banished.
The response to this one was terrific. It will be fascinating to see the creations of passionate fans shared with the community over the next few days. Perhaps sock_bread will make another short film based on the series.
