Halo Infinite update will solve gun jams and the Scorpion Gun issue:  The second season of Halo Infinite is now underway. But the adjustments in Lone Wolves were not all positive.

Specific problems remove, and Battle Pass adjustments made it more difficult for certain players to finish particular tasks.

We recently learned that some of those bugs would address in the game’s upcoming update.

There are no official patch notes for the next update, but senior community manager John Junyszek offered us an overview on the Halo Waypoint forums.

Halo Infinite update will solve gun jams and the Scorpion Gun issue

One solution has been in the works for a long time: “gun jamming,” which affects the firing rate of semi-automatic weapons, has been hurting the community for some time.

“We were able to pinpoint the source of the problem,” Junyszek explains. Jamming should remove from campaign missions and multiplayer battles with the next version.

That isn’t the only modification to multiplayer coming. Skill leaps were initially available in Aquarius, Bazaar, Live Fire, and Streets, and they allowed skilled players to climb areas of the map quickly.

Some were controversially deleted from the four maps, but they will be added back in the update. While 343 prioritizes balancing these skill leaps, it also encourages the community to discover even more as they play.

Perhaps the new Season 2 maps have some previously unknown pathways.

Finally, Junyszek’s message promises the return of the Scorpion Gun glitch. A popular speed running method that many players mourned losing in a prior patch.

It wasn’t the only speed running flaw eliminated, but many of the others are “much more difficult” to restore. Regardless, the club will “continue to examine [its] alternatives.”

A scattering of stability and balancing improvements will include in a future version. No release date has been specified, but 343 promises to “share more about release scheduling in the coming days.”
