Get them while they’re free.
We’ve reached the second half of September, which means anyone with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription can download two new games for free. The titles in question are the Xbox One game Live clock and the Xbox 360 game Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World. Both are playable on Xbox One.
Live clock is a top-down shooter that takes place after humanity and the rest of the organic life on Earth has been wiped out. The game puts you in the shoes of a robot fighting off hordes of enemies, with the goal of bringing life back to the planet. You can play it alone or with up to two friends in co-op mode. It’s available for free between now and October 15.
Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World contains ports of the Monster World/Wonder Boy series of RPG from the 1980s and ’90s. It comes with Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV. When this collection launched in 2012, it was the first time Monster World IV had made its way to the US. It’s available for free between now and September 30.
If you haven’t grabbed it yet, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still download Prison Architect for free through the end of the month. But now that September 15 has come and gone, two September Games with Gold have gone back to their regular prices: For Honor and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.
Microsoft hasn’t announced the Games with Gold for October, but we expect news to that effect to arrive in the coming weeks.
Games With Gold: September 2018
- Prison Architect (September 1-30)
- For Honor (August 16-September 15)
- Livelock (September 16-October 15)
- Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (September 1-15)
- Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World (September 16-30)
