Cross Armor Core customization was discovered: Like any Multiplayer shooter, many Halo Infinite fans were eager for the new customization options.
343 has fulfilled chiefly these expectations. We have received cat ear helmets and different colors of armor pieces. As well as many other accessories for our Spartan since its release.
One thing that players have not been able to do is swap armor pieces between Armor cores.
Mark VII pieces cannot be placed on Mark V Armour Cores.
Reddit user Eminemcrony claims that modders can quickly turn on the ability to customize regardless if you have an Armor Core.

Cross Armor Core customization was discovered
This has sparked a lot of discussion on Reddit, with many players trying to understand. Why developer 343 chose not to include this feature and whether they will add it in the future.
Two major themes emerged from this discussion: lore and money.
So let’s first rule out the legend.
Developer 343 would not have added the cat mentioned above if cross Armor Core customization was primarily about lore.
Let’s move on to money. Many users pointed out that 343 likely made this decision to make it harder for players to purchase/earn individual pieces to complete their sets.
This would make it more difficult for players to spend more on the Battle Pass or get the look they desire.
This doesn’t seem to be a good practice, as most thread members have stated that they would spend more if they could choose each piece of armor.
To add a twist to the story, Many people have noticed that bots in multiplayer often sport mix-and-match armor.
This means that robots are more accessible to personalize themselves than players.
